About

02About

I'm Camilo Bustos Reyes, Camilo Bustos for short. I spent 8 years in newsrooms figuring out what an audience actually cares about. Now I'm the one who builds and ships the product that serves it. I lean on SEO, analytics, and AI-assisted development to go from idea to deploy without waiting on anyone.

Camilo Bustos Reyes, Product Manager Digital y fundador de Divídela

Before all this

A kid, no internet

I was my school's computer assistant because using a computer just came naturally. The first one at home (Windows 95, floppy drive, zero internet) I explored for hours and took apart. That's where the spark started: ever since, I tend to mod my own computers.

At 15

I modded the game Helbreath and taught myself to run a server to play with friends. With a Chilean and an Argentine we launched Helbreath Celta (yes, after my character): close to 50 concurrent players, 100+ during events. They kicked me out once they found out my age.

At ADN

I pushed AI until we became the first Chilean outlet to use it as a tool. I set up a station with ChatGPT next to the newsroom so writers could resolve doubts on the fly, always under editorial supervision.

SaaS for restaurants

I didn't build another POS: the restaurant already has one. Divídela solves what that system ignores, the moment of the bill at the table: order and split from your phone, in real time. It works alongside what they already use instead of replacing it. Built end to end: product, design, and code. I piloted it with a real restaurant during 2026 and today it's in commercial launch, looking for its first paying customers.

T-Llevo

Teletón's transport system

The app that moves the foundation: you request a van with a driver or book an electric car, and the system assigns it on its own, with fair rotation across drivers while respecting shifts, legal overtime, absences and lunch. Nobody has to ask for a favor. Drivers see their day in a login-free PWA that works offline and move each trip forward one button at a time: its users are older and far from tech-savvy, so the bar was making it dead simple. I built it end to end and it delivered in real use. Since launch it keeps growing with what operations need: if a driver is out, one button reassigns their pending trips in cascade, public holidays count as 100% overtime under Chilean law, whoever requested the van can ask to cancel it (administration approves or rejects) and the driver of an electric car closes their own booking with a reminder at return time. Every batch goes through an adversarial review with several agents before reaching production.

Teletón 2026 campaign landing

Campaign landing page

The official page of the “Súmate a lo que nos une” campaign, live today as the home page of teleton.cl. I conceived, designed and built it end to end: modern, simple and elegant, with a countdown, the 2026 ambassador and the anthem playing right on the page. Behind it I built a four-piece system across three repositories: the landing, an AI bot that answers by text and voice with its own backend, an admin panel with two-factor login and the panel the press team uses to publish news. The version with the bot is finished, tested and documented, and reaches teleton.cl with the development team's next deploy. From the same launch: I handled the anthem's release as a single on Spotify (Teletón Music, with Princesa Alba and SINAKA) and designed and ran the meeting with content creators, with script, rundown and a presentation built as an HTML page.

StackLanding: Vite, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind, GSAP, Playwright, one build for Vercel and one for WordPress. Bot: Next.js, streaming Claude, Whisper, ElevenLabs, Supabase, admin panel with TOTP, Jest and rate limiting.

Press news panel

Publish to the landing without touching code

So the press team could update the campaign landing's news without depending on me, I built a separate panel: they paste the link of a teleton.cl article, order a queue of three to five, change the cover and publish, and the panel commits straight to the landing's repository through a GitHub App. It opens with a PIN plus a second factor, has an edit lock so two people never overwrite each other, optimizes the photos and emails a notice on every publication. In production since August 2026, with continuous integration, secret scanning and over a hundred automated tests.

Confirming and reminding medical appointments over WhatsApp

I supported Instituto Teletón on a WhatsApp channel that confirms and reminds patients of their medical appointments, run by an external provider. My part was technical support: I set up the Meta platform (account, app, number, permissions and least-privilege credentials), inventoried and reviewed the eight templates of the flow with quality and copy observations, and coordinated the connection with the provider.

Social Metrics

Self-reporting social analytics

Internal dashboard that unifies the analytics of the foundation's social networks and website (7 platforms connected today). I fixed the data first (5 root causes, 23 fixes, a 4,298-row migration), then automated the output: an AI assistant summarizes the metrics and sends a weekly report on its own, and the monthly report comes out as a print-ready editorial deck. Each report includes paintings I curated personally, so the numbers arrive with something human. In August 2026 I added a campaign trend meter: it follows on TikTok and Instagram the videos other people create with the anthem's sounds, measures plays and new videos per day, reads the comments and classifies their sentiment with AI (without storing authors), and every morning sends the team a briefing with what's new, never repeating what was already reported. No official API: public data and a browser robot that runs three times a day.

Digitón's first anthem

From an AI demo to the official song

When it was born in 2022, the Digitón was just Teletón's livestream. In 2025 I installed the concept that the Digitón is everything digital (social media, site and stream) and gave it a sound identity: the official anthem wasn't landing with younger audiences, so I gave myself the mission. I composed a demo with AI on Udio, and from it came “Digitón (Teletón 2025)”, recorded by Gino Mella: the first anthem it has ever had. The result: the most successful Digitón since its creation.

Strategy for Teletón's YouTube channel

Data, strategy and focus

In June 2026 I diagnosed the Teletón TV channel on YouTube by reading its data since 2019 and proposed its content strategy: shorts to capture, long videos to retain and a recurring series of testimonials to turn viewers into a community. I also made the case for concentrating video efforts on YouTube instead of sustaining a video portal of its own, and that was the path taken. The channel went from 37 thousand subscribers in June to over 50 thousand in September 2026 (public figure of the channel).

AI adoption in the Communications team

I designed and taught a 75-minute hands-on workshop for Teletón's Communications team: when to use Claude, Claude Cowork or Claude Design (the two-minute rule), how to write a professional prompt, and a team exercise that turns raw notes into a complete press kit, with fictional data. A 29-slide deck, five prompts ready to use the next day and a prompt library per project so the habit doesn't stay in the talk.

Security assessments

I understand how the things I build break

More than ten authorized security assessments across my own and third-party platforms between April and August 2026, black-box, gray-box and white-box, with prioritized remediation reports and live verification of the fixes. To understand a real risk, I reproduced CVE-2025-29927 in a lab, a public Next.js authorization bypass rated critical (CVSS 9.1): I stood it up in a controlled environment and verified the behavior without touching protected resources. I didn't discover it: I replicated it to see how it actually works. For responsible disclosure, I don't detail targets or vectors.

Plan against fake sites

Spot the clone before it scams anyone

After the fraud with fake sites impersonating the previous campaign, I designed a brand-protection plan for Teletón: recovering the domains used in the scam through international arbitration, defensive registration of the credible variants and a 24-to-72-hour takedown protocol. I paired it with a tool of my own in Python, no dependencies, that generates hundreds of variants of the name, cross-checks them against DNS and the public HTTPS certificate logs, and sorts the findings in a panel. The plan was presented and backed in principle by management, pending execution. The tool is a prototype.

I run the whole cycle myself: I define the strategy with data, design the solution, and put it into production. AI is an instrument I direct, not a team that replaces me. That compresses the time between idea and real product: what used to need a team, I now ship.

08Frequently asked

For anyone looking for someone like this

Who is Camilo Bustos Reyes?

A Digital Product Manager based in Santiago who combines strategy, growth, and code in one person. After eight years in media (Radio ADN, Teletón Chile), he now builds digital products end to end and is the founder of Divídela.

What can he do? What are his capabilities?

The full product cycle: data-driven strategy, design, growth (on-page, off-page and technical SEO, SEM, analytics with GA4 and Search Console), and shipping to production by orchestrating AI (Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, Vercel, Claude API). From idea to deploy, without waiting on a team.

Is he available for work, and what is he looking for?

Yes. He's looking for a product or growth role where strategy and execution live in one person, or a founding team that needs exactly that. From Santiago, remote, or relocating.

What kind of company, startup or project is he ideal for?

Companies and startups that need someone to close the loop between strategy and product without building a large team, and founders looking for a blend of product, growth, and building. Also for focused growth or SEO projects.

What has he built?

Divídela, a SaaS for restaurants piloted with a real restaurant and now in commercial launch. Also T-Llevo, the internal system that runs Teletón's transport with automatic driver assignment. The Teletón 2025 annual report, with its text and voice AI assistant. The Teletón 2026 campaign landing, live at teleton.cl, with an AI bot by text and voice and a panel the press team uses to publish news without touching code. The AI demo that became “Digitón (Teletón 2025)”, Digitón's first anthem. And AvanzaYa, which he built, ranked with SEO, and sold in 2025, among others. Every public project is linked and live.

Are Camilo Bustos and Camilo Bustos Reyes the same person?

Yes. Camilo Bustos is the short form of Camilo Bustos Reyes: Digital Product Manager at Teletón Chile, founder of Divídela, based in Santiago, Chile. Not the Colombian musician or other namesakes. This site, cbustos.com, is his official page.
